Martina Clausen
Research Scientist
Faculty of Land and Food Systems
Martina has a BSc in Environmental Engineering from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (2011) and a MSc in Integrated Studies in Land and Food Systems from the University of British Columbia (2017). She is currently working as a lab manager and research technician with Dr. Juli Carrillo at the Plant-Insect Ecology & Evolution Lab at UBC. Building on her research experience on the role of field margin habitats for wild bee conservation at the farm- and landscape-scale, she continues to work on studying biodiversity in agricultural landscapes through a project in Delta, BC. Besides pollinators, this project expands to include the effect of field margin enhancements on pest populations and their implications in adjacent fields. Martina is a board member of the Native Bee Society of British Columbia.
